Nate Mayland

REMOTE RECORDING

TEACHING & COACHING

Nate is thrilled to be teaching  at Montclair State

University as Adjunct Professor of Trombone, where he is teaching classical and jazz trombone lessons.

BROADWAY

Nate is a highly in-demand doubler on Broadway and will be performing in the pit of THE WIZ  in 2024.. He has played a dozen shows of his own, subbed on over 40 chairs, and regularly performs on small tenor, orchestral tenor, bass trombone, euphonium, and tuba.

CLASSICAL

Nate has performed and toured with The Knights Orchestra, The American Ballet Theater, The Orchestra of St. Lukes, The American Symphony Orchestra, and others. He performed the Tomasi Trombone Concerto live on the radio with The Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, and has studied under the legendary Edward Kleinhammer, Scott Hartman and Dee Stewart. 

COMPOSER

Nate has composed for his own group The Wishbone Project, BONEGASM, The Kat Gang Quartet, The Band of Bones, and others. 

JAZZ & ROCK

Nate has recently toured with The Maria Schneider Orchestra, and Jennifer Wharton's BONEGASM, a jazz trombone quartet featuring the writing of Jim McNeely, Renee Rosnes, John Fedchock, Alan Ferber and more.
